How do I change my payment method for my Beat22 subscription?

Trying to switch your payment method for your active Beat22 subscription? Here’s what you need to know.

Payment method can’t be changed mid-cycle

If you’ve already subscribed using a payment method (e.g., credit card, UPI, etc.), that method is locked in for the upcoming automated renewal.

This means:

  • If your subscription is set to auto-renew, the system will use the same payment method again.
  • You cannot update or switch the payment method for the next renewal directly from your profile.

So, How Can You Use a New Payment Method?

To change your payment method, you’ll need to follow these steps:

Step-by-Step: Switch to a new payment method

  1. Cancel your current subscription mandate

    • Go to your subscription settings
    • Cancel the existing auto-renewal mandate
  2. Wait for the plan to expire

    • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  3. Resubscribe using the new payment method

    • Once expired, go to the Subscription Plans page
    • Choose your preferred plan
    • At checkout, select your new payment method

Tip: You can upgrade to Pro Annual during this step if you’re planning to change plans too!

Why this happens

Beat22 uses secure third-party payment gateways that generate a billing mandate with your selected method. Once set, it can’t be changed for that cycle due to how auto-renewals are processed securely.

Q: Can I change my payment method anytime?
A: Not during an active cycle. You can only change it by cancelling and resubscribing.

Q: Will I lose my subscription benefits if I cancel the mandate?
A: No. Your benefits will remain active until your current billing period ends.
